Dumpster Rental FAQ

How far in advance do I need to order a dumpster rental? Although 24 hours or more notice is ideal, we can provide same-day service in most markets.

Is emergency dumpster delivery available? We work hard to help those in special need due to fires, floods and other disasters. The last thing about which you need to be worrying in such a situation is how the waste will be cleaned up.

What does the price include? The price of your dumpster rental includes delivery and pickup, as well as any environmental, licensing and other fees which may apply to your specific local market. Please note that there may be additional regulatory fees for your market that are applied to the site owner rather than the waste removal company; please click here to look up information for your specific city.

What are my payment options? We accept all major credit cards.

How many tons can I put in my container? When you set up your order, our helpful staff will assist you in determining the size dumpster you need for the project, and advise you as to possible tonnage (weight) limits based on what you plan to be putting in the dumpster. Certain heavy materials, such as dirt, concrete, etc. may require multiple dumpster loads due to the greater weight-to-volume ratio of the load.

Will I be billed for extra weight? Yes. If we are required to make an additional haul, or a "dump swap" (where an additional dumpster is brought to replace a full/overweight one) there will be additional charges applied. Weight limits and possible cost overruns will be discussed with you prior to your order -- call our professional staff today at (800) 766-1502 and let us help you determine what you need for your project.

Are there any items I cannot put into my container? Yes. Many federal, state and local laws are applied to landfills and dumps; in order to stay within those legal guidelines, we only allow solid waste in containers. Examples of items that cannot be placed in roll-off containers are: radioactive, volatile, highly flammable, or explosive items; medical waste, biohazardous materials, and otherwise toxic materials (asbestos, mercury, etc.) No liquids (toxic or otherwise) are allowed in the container. In most cases, many electronic items such as microwave ovens, computers, cathode screen computer monitors and televisions and more are also not allowed.

Will a roll off dumpster damage my driveway? A full roll off container can be extremely heavy, as is the large truck used to pick it up. Sheets of 4x8 plywood can be used to protect surfaces from the impact of the weight, and for driveways in particular it is recommended that you take this simple preventative measure. With or without surface protection, it is your responsibility to determine where the dumpster can be placed to bear the potential load weight, as well as the weight of the truck.

My driveway is steep. Can I put a roll off dumpster on it? A full roll off container can be extremely heavy, as is the large truck used to pick it up. Can I put the rolloff container on the street? Regulations and requirements for putting a roll off on the street vary from locality to locality. Please check for information in your local market before committing to placing a dumpster in the street.

How much space will the delivery truck need to manuever while dropping off/picking up my dumpster? Please call us at (800) 766-1502 to help determine whether the size you have available can be accomodated. In most cases, a standard residential driveway is sufficient length and width for a "straight in & out" delivery or pickup.

What if I need to change or cancel my dumpster rental order? Please contact us at (800) 766-1502 as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel an existing order. Cancellation fees will be applied, and are discussed prior to processing your order.

Must I be present for dumpster delivery or pickup? We do prefer that you or a designated contact will be on-site at the time of delivery. This is as much for your own protection as any other reason. Absent an on-site contact, our staff will need to get special and specific instructions from you prior to arranging delivery.

What if I fill up my trash dumpster container before I am done with it? A "swap haul" -- where we arrange a replacement dumpster to help you get finished and take away the full one -- can be accomodated on short notice, at an additional fee.

What if my project is not finished before the pickup date? Our transparent pricing model provides a per-day cost in the event of an overrun, before your order is processed.

I do not see my question here! Please call us today at (800) 766-1502 and we'll be happy to answer any additional questions you might have, and set up your dumpster delivery.
